Who Got B.A.R.S.?

"B.A.R.S. is a competition of rap/hip hop cypher sessions. Through these sessions we are looking to find the Best, an Artist, someone who has Raw talent, and of course someone working to perfect their Skill. The essence of a real cypher has been lost in the culture of Hip Hop. With the help of the BET Awards, the true nature of a cypher session is coming back. A Cypher is not a battle it is a group showcase of skills. B.A.R.S. is displaying the artists who are hungry, and is willing to put their best rhymes to the test against some of the city’s finest. Unsigned artist will be able to display their lyrical ability and storytelling through video, blogging, and live to a judge panel. The B.A.R.S. cypher session will start in the city of Huntsville ,AL by breaking the city up into four brackets of the colleges in the city (AAMU, Oakwood, and UAH), but also including a bracket Hometown for Mc’s in the city."

Artists will audition in a cypher style on their campus and the hometown will have a location in the city. A panel on delivery, lyrics, and orignality will judge each Mc. From the open audition, only eight will be chose to represent each bracket. After they advance they will have another session in front of the panel, but after the panel picks the best four for each bracket it is up to the student body of the campus and the locals of the city of Huntsville to choose who has the best bars. They will be able to vote via twitter and blog website. The sessions will be showcased on the web via youtube, blog, and vimeo. After the viewers decide who is the best artist to represent their campus there will be a finale party where the viewers would witness who really has B.A.R.S in a live cypher session. Whoever the crowd feels is the best would hold the crown as the best in the city and receive the rewards listed below. This competition would bring back the essence of a cypher and lyricism in the culture of hip - hop. So I ask again, Who got B.A.R.S.?"
