Review: Kendrick Lamar good kid, M.A.A.D City

For those that weren't around for the masterpieces of Da Vinci, the
skillfulness of Picasso, or the elegance of Basquiat. Well you can
you can add a new member to these masters of art and his name
is Kendrick Lamar. If you have never heard the harmonious
complication of lyrics that print the perfect picture, then you've
 never heard the perfect album.

Kendrick Lamar good kid, M.A.A.D City debut
album is one of the most anticipated debut album of 2012 and from start to finish
does not disappoint...the seamless transitions from track to track assist with the picture
painted. The west coast rapper pulls back the curtain on how he got from the
treacherous streets of growing up in Compton, CA, to the point he is in his life today.
Two tracks that exemplify a day and a life in Compton, CA are Good Kid and
M.A.A.D City. Good Kid is a track that let's you into the inner thoughts of a young
individual being around chaos and how they have no other choice but to think this
is the way things are suppose to be. M.A.A.D City shows you how living around
the heavily influenced gang area there is no way but to be affiliated in some fashion.
With everyone knowing that Kendrick was taken under the wing of west coast
legend Dr. Dre there is not a single track that you can pinpoint saying
"oh yeah that's Dre-influenced". Since Kendrick has come out creating his
own lane with the Section.80 mixtape where he rendered the life of a young person
growing up with him from the late 80s until the present and continues to crave his
way through hip-hop staying true to himself and his coast. With this short film on
a album Kendrick Lamar has an instant classic.
